Tiffany Bouquet
Tiffany is a Georgia native and discovered Ballroom Dance in college. She has been dancing amateur for 8 years, with a concentration in Smooth and Standard. Following graduation and marriage to Daniel, they both decided that organizing a competition sounded fun. A year later they now have two competitions, and have developed a passion for encouraging others to dance, especially the youth and collegiate age groups.
Daniel Boman
Daniel was born in San Diego, CA but has lived all over the country including Minneapolis, Minnesota and Atlanta, GA. He has been dancing for over a decade, and while he enjoys all styles, he specializes in Smooth and Standard. Daniel often works as scrutineer, and taught ballroom dance throughout college. He has always had a desire to make dance more accessible, and works tirelessly to improve both his competitions and his competition management software, Ballroom Comp Express.
Yang Chen
Yang Chen began dancing more than thirty years ago while he was attending law school. He currently sits on the Board of Dancing Classrooms, a not-for-profit organization based in New York City that helps young people enhance social and emotional learning through social dance. He served twenty years on the Board of the Greater New York Chapter of USA Dance, including as President, before being elected to serve as USA Dance National President from 2014-15. Yang has extensive experience as a Master of Ceremonies of many ballroom competitions including the Manhattan Amateur Classic, various USA Dance National Qualifying Events, the USA Dance National DanceSport Championships and many collegiate events. While on the Board of the Greater New York Chapter of USA Dance, he helped to organize the Manhattan Amateur Classic, one of the nation’s leading amateur DanceSport competitions in its three-decade history. Outside of dance, he runs the Asian American Bar Association of New York, the largest affinity bar association in New York and the United States, as Executive Director. And yes, he pronounces his first name “young.”
Joe Huesmann
Joe started dancing in 1995 while attending grad school at the University of Maryland. For the first year he was purely a social dancer; until the ballroom club coaxed him into entering their inaugural DC Dancesport Inferno competition, and he was hooked. He soon gravitated to International Standard, and focused on that style for many years.
Joe was on the organizing committee for the Mid-Atlantic Championships NQE in Bethesda, MD from 2009 to 2022, doing technical setup for O2CM and acting as online registrar. In this capacity he became familiar with O2CM, scrutineering, and running Dancesport competitions. He scrutineered college competitions, and in 2014 passed the scrutineering exam.
After he and his partner qualified for and danced at the World Championships in 2015, she retired from competition. He elected to do the same, to focus on scrutineering and life off the comp floor.
Sami Yli-Piipari
Sami Yli-Piipari is a 15-time Finnish National Champion in Ballroom, Latin, and 10-dance in both amateur and professional categories. He is a former World & European 10-Dance Finalist, International and United Kingdom Ballroom Rising Star Finalist, and Blackpool Ballroom Semi-Finalist. Sami is a WDSF judge and Chair and has judged numerous WDSF World, Continental, and Grand Slam Championships. Sami lives in Atlanta, GA.
Viktoriya Drubetskaya
Viktoriya Drubetskaya was a 1999 UK Open Professional Rising Star Finalist, 1999 USA Professional Rising Star Champion, 2001-2002 US and World Mambo Champion, and 2002 US Professional Rhythm Finalist. As an amateur, she was a 1996 USA Amateur Latin Finalist as well as a Junior 10-Dance Finalist in Moldova. Since 2002, she has been learning about human body movement in depth in the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, has studied Dance Notation via Language of Dance and Kestenberg Movement Profile. She has also been certified as Eric Franklin Level 3 (Dynamic Neurocognitive imagery) movement educator. She has used her knowledge successfully, creating BESSI (Body, Effort, Shape, Space, and Imagery) to train top level junior, youth and adult competitors who have represented the US at many world championships.
Viktoriya is a Dance Vision examiner for professional certifications and medal testing. She is also WDSF and USA Dance examiner.
Dana Edwards
Dana is a USA Dance Chairperson, Invigilator and Adjudicator as well as an Adjudicator with the WDSF.
She holds Licentiate degrees in Standard, Latin, Smooth, Rhythm and Theatre Arts with the American International Dancers Association and Licentiate degrees in International Standard and Latin with Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and the World DanceSport Federation.
She is a retired NDCA Open Professional American Smooth and Rising Star American Rhythm Champion and a Fred Astaire Professional American and Canadian / American Smooth Champion. She has trained her students to achieve much success in the Am/Am and Pro/Am world including FADS Pro/Am Smooth and Rhythm National Champions, Top competition students with the FADS, USA DANCE, NDCA and Youth DanceSport Syllabus Champions 7 years running at the Arnold Schwarzenegger Sports Festival. Dana has many Top Teacher Awards from FADS and was the Top Teacher and Top Studio Arnold Sports Festival.
Inna Brayer
Inna has participated in competitive ballroom dancing since the age of eight and has held the title of U.S. National Ten Dance Champion multiple times. She has also been ranked as high as ninth in the world. She represented the US in six World Championships. Inna participated as a professional dancer on Season 7 of Dancing with the Stars and was partnered with Ted McGinley. She also served as the choreographer for the Rutgers ballroom team performance on Season 9 of DWTS. She is presently the coach of many U.S. Preteen and Junior National Champions. Inna holds a dual degree in English and Education.
Patricia Goh
Patricia, a dancesport ambassador, believes in promoting and developing dancesport with integrity through her role as a WDSF Chairperson, WDSF PD Adjudicator, WDSF Scrutineer and WDSF Adjudicator. She currently serves as a WDSF Presidium Member and as Chair of WDSF Adjudicators Qualifications Classification Committee.
Patricia frequently adjudicates significant competitions including WDSF World Standard and Latin Championships, WDSF World Smooth Championships, WDSF Grand Slams in Standard and Latin, WDSF World Professional Latin and World Professional Showdance Adult Championships.
Patricia is certified in Standard & Latin and Smooth & Rhythm. In addition to being a past champion in Adult Standard & Ten Dance and a Latin finalist, Patricia also holds a Masters degree, the professional accounting designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and advanced certification in music and ballet.
Phil Lee
Phil’s passion of dancing has enabled him to achieve his goal of becoming a WDSF PD Adjudicator, WDSF Adjudicator, WDSF Chairperson, National Championship Chairperson and Adjudicator in Standard & Latin and Smooth & Rhythm styles, and a Certified Scrutineer. Phil regularly adjudicates major WDSF championships including WDSF World Championships of various age groups and national championships. Most recently, Phil was appointed to adjudicate the WDSF World Formation Latin Championships in Hong Kong and WDSF World Professional Standard Adult Championship in Canada. Phil is a past champion in Adult Standard and Adult 10-Dance, Canadian and North American Standard Professional Finalists, Professional Rising Star Vice Champion, and Latin Finalist. He is also an examiner for new dance professionals.
Phil, in addition, holds a Business degree in Finance, a Masters degree and a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation.
Liene Reinbold
Liene has represented Latvia and Lithuania, competing both as an amateur and a professional, in National, European, and World Championships as well as in UK Open, British Open, International Open, and German Open Dance Championships. Liene is a highly demanded coach. She works with students from Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, and New York. As the owner of Dance Harmony, Liene is part of the coaching team that led to the success of the 2022 USA Dance National Champions in Senior II and Senior III Silver and Gold Standard and in Senior II Pre-Champ Standard.
Kim Smith
Kimberly Smith has been teaching dancing for 43 years and has owned and operated Dr. Dance Studio, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama for 36 years. She has enjoyed a fulfilling career as a professional competitor, pro/am competitor, teacher and currently coaches amateur and professional couples. Kimberly holds both Memberships and Fellowships with the North American Dance Teachers Association and Licentiates with The American International Dancers Association (AIDA) formerly the United States Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. She continues to proudly serve the association on the National Committee as Treasurer. As an adjudicator, Kim is a WDSF A 3.0 AJS certified adjudicator and has had the honor of judging the 2022 IWGA World Games Standard & Latin, WDSF Sr. I World Latin Championships, as well as many Open WDSF Championship events. Kim serves the WDSF as a member of the Sports Event Planning and Promotion Committee and is Co-Organizer of Christmas in Dixie Ballroom Challenge.
Vano Kandelaki
WDSF Adjudicator & Chairperson for 25 years, adjudicated many important title events, such as: WDSF World & European Championships & Cups, World Open and International Open Ranking Competitions and National Championships in many countries.
Vano was the Georgian National Champion in Youth 10 Dance and twice in Adult Latin. He competed for 12 years and then continued my judging and coaching career.
Currently, Vano is the Vice-President of the Georgian National DanceSport Federation and an organizer of many international competitions in Georgia, including WDSF 2018 World Championship Under 21 Latin in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Renata Shvarts
Renata Shvarts is a retired professional competitor who is now highly in demand as an coach, choreographer, and adjudicator on the National and International level. She holds Adjudicator and Chair of Judges certification with USA Dance, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), and the World Dance Organization (WDO). Her experience as an adjudicator and Chair includes National and World Championships. In addition to judging, Renata was a founder of both Basic Ballroom and Ballroom Hub Dance Studios in New York and is the co-organizer of the MAC and LA DanceSport Challenge. She previously organized the Islanders DanceSport Championships and the 2020 WDO Senior World Championships. Outside of dance, Renata holds Master’s Degree in Education, has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild of America (SAG), taken part in many events/theatrical and movie productions, and choreographed routines for Olympic level pairs figure skaters.
Ara Mkhoyan
Ara Mkhoyan has been teaching and training dancers for the past 40 years. In 1972, he became one of the founders of ballroom dancing styles in Armenia and has won the championship of Armenia twice. In 1987, he founded the first specialized studio of sport dance in Yerevan, Armenia. He is a lecturer, associate professor, and author on the subject Pedagogy of Dance. He was the chairman of the Judges Council of the Dance Sport Federation of Armenia, Vice President of the Armenian Dance Sport Federation, and Member of the Board of the National Dance Union of Armenia (NDU). He is licensed WDSF Adjudicator A and Professional Division (PD).
Giedrius Januskevicius
Giedrius is a renowned coach in the International Standard style, having coached WDSF world champions, including Evaldas Sodeika & Ieva Zukauskaite, the 2023 world champions. He has been producing champions and finalists in Standard and 10-Dance for over 20 years.
Alex Spencer
Alex is an accomplished professional and coach, achieving accolades as a US National Amateur Ballroom Finalist and the Eastern US Ballroom Champion. He holds licenses from FNDL and DVIDA and has previously worked with "Dancing Classrooms" in New York, where he provided instruction to high school students.
